MANUSCRIPT HISTORY
We've been part of the writing industry since 1856. Our story began in Birmingham, England. Formed as D Leonardt & Co. in 1856 by Diedrich Leonardt, the company was renowned worldwide as the go-to company for nibs of all shapes and sizes.
Today, Manuscript remains a family company - fifth generation in fact! We're based in leafy Shropshire in England, where we've been since 1947. We still produce calligraphy products that are loved the worldover. A lot may have changed and developed over the years but our commitment to writing, our passion for quality product is ever present.
