Manuscript Pen Company is proud to announce a partnership with Birmingham Children’s Hospital, which will see the world-renowned British stationery manufacturer involve the hospital in a heart-warming campaign.
The Shropshire-based team are asking the general public to put down their digital devices and handwrite a special note that will be sent to an ill child at the hospital, which treats thousands of children each year.
Part of World Calligraphy Day, the Say Something Special campaign is encouraging celebrities, influencers and keen writers to spare a thought for those in the hospital and write a letter, a poem or an encouraging message to those less fortunate.
Letters can be sent to Say Something Special c/o Small Man Media, 2nd Floor, 6 Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton, WV1 4BL.
Each letter that is sent will be forwarded directly on to the hospital alongside some of Manuscript’s colouring product for children in the care of the unit to get creative themselves.
Charlie Stockbridge, Managing Director of Manuscript, launched the idea and said: “The Birmingham Children’s Hospital is an incredible place and we’re proud to be a part of that.
“The children in the hospital go through a lot at such a young age and we wanted to give something back in the best way we thought possible.
“Hopefully the letters sent will bring a smile to faces young and old in the hospital!”
Those letters received before 15th August will become part of a small exhibition at The Pen Museum in Birmingham on World Calligraphy Day before going on to The Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Companies and groups are also encouraged to get involved and can request a Say Something Special starter kit by emailing dan@smallmanmedia.com.
