Remove the protective coating before first use by passing the nib through a small flame or wiping with isopropyl alcohol. Fit into your holder and dip to around one third of its length before writing.

Rinse in clean water after every use and dry thoroughly. Store spare nibs dry in a tin or case. Replace when lines become scratchy or the nib no longer springs back.
